The CalArts School of FIlm/Video is looking for a Consultant

The CalArts School of FIlm/Video is looking for a Consultant for an immediate contract to address film producing and safety concerns in the school's four programs of study (live action film & video, film directing, character animation and experimental animation). We are looking to hire the consultant right away, and though this is not a permanent position, the consultant will be instrumental in developing plans for a permanent producing and safety manager. We are developing an advisory structure for student projects that will eventually address a broad range of producing concerns, but to begin, the consultant would design and implement safety goals and training for students, staff and faculty, as well propose long-range plans for the permanent position. We want to find just the right person for the job, someone with a strong production background (at least 3 as producer, line-producer, UPM, etc) who also has a deep affinity for independent, artistic filmmaking.
