1000 Dreams Scholarship Fund

The 1000 Dreams Scholarship provides one-time educational assistance for currently enrolled high school or college-aged women throughout the United States. This can include assistance for needs including but not exclusive to: educational conferences, instructional programs related to creative or artistic pursuits, graduate exam application fees, or textbooks. Needs that are ongoing (e.g., utility bills, food costs) or related to medical care are not covered by this fund. This scholarship is not to fund tuition. Oops Doughnuts Productions: Looking for an Assistant

Oops Doughnuts Productions is looking to hire a new assistant for its principal director. The position is out of our LA offices and would require working with the director’s location assistant during production. The position requires general assistant work (i.e, phones, scheduling, expenses) with a heavy dose of personal work, as well. We are looking for someone with a concentrated interest in development, as the position also requires a good deal of reading, coverage, development notes, etc. Some office/desk experience is preferred but not completely necessary. Manager of Development

SFFILM is still accepting applications for the Manager of Artist Development until January 15. The manager is the first point of contact for all filmmakers interested in learning more about SFFILM’s grants and programs and will build strong relationships with filmmakers locally and nationally. The position will oversee outreach, manage the grant review process, serve on the review committees, provide guidance and feedback to filmmakers, and advise SFFILM- supported filmmakers. The ideal candidate is based in the Bay Area or is eager to relocate full-time, and has a background working in the film industry and/or as a filmmaker and has an interest in both narrative and documentary film. grants@sffilm.org
