New York Internship Opportunity

NY-Based Worldwide Film Sales/Distribution Company Seeking Fall Interns
Worldwide film sales and distribution company, Visit Films, is looking for a few knowledgeable, hard-working interns to be a part of our team, located in Williamsburg. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, reliable, passionate about cinema, and eager to learn the intricacies of film sales / distribution, acquisitions, festivals, and marketing. Interns are an integral part of our team, and candidates will acquire valuable experience to help get their foot in the door of the business side of the film industry. The internship is unpaid, but a monthly stipend will be issued to cover travel.
About Visit Films:
Visit Films is a worldwide film sales company specializing in director-driven work that premieres at the world's top tier film festivals, such as Sundance, Berlin, and Cannes. Our most recent titles include the breakout genre hit It Follows, Krisha, Morris From America, and we have worked with directors such as Werner Herzog, Joe Swanberg, Shane Carruth, and Harmony Korine.
Visit also consults for a major multi-territory broadcast partner for which it acquires between 120-180 titles a year. In addition, Visit releases a select number of titles in the US and Canada for theatrical, VOD, TV and DVD distribution via sister company Monument Releasing.
Qualifications:
-Passion for international business and independent film are a must
-Strong communication skills, both written and oral
-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
-Experience with Adobe suite, especially Photoshop and Indesign, is strongly preferred
-Knowledge of databases, ideally Filemaker Pro, is a major plus
-Prior experience in marketing or film is helpful
-Applicant must currently be in school
