HIRING 4 POSITIONS AT 4K FILM FESTIVAL The 4K Film Festival is the first of its kind, focusing on films shot and delivered in cutting edge digital "4K", marking the next generation of entertainment technology. The festival is planned for late 2013 in Los Angeles. We are looking for select, motivated people to become part of the team. All positions are part time to start, with the actual time commitment depending on the position. We are hiring the following PAID POSITIONS: DIRECTOR OF MARKETING: In charge of development and implementation of overall strategic plan to market and promote the festival to filmmakers, the public and sponsors. Job requirements: Degree in marketing and experience with film festivals preferred. Strong knowledge of social media. Strong business writing skills. PUBLICIST: In charge of all media relations, press releases and social media. Job requirements: Publicity experience within the entertainment business; good industry contacts a plus. DIRECTOR OF FILMMAKER RELATIONS: In charge of implementing strategic plans to reach filmmakers and solicit their submissions into the festival. Interact with filmmakers, address their needs and track status. Job requirements: Experience working with film festivals preferred. Knowledge of film industry. Ability to understand technical requirements for submissions. Good social networking skills. Great promotional writing skills. DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS / EVENTS COORDINATOR: In charge of festival locations and operational logistics, as well as planning, scheduling and managing events related to the festival. Job requirements: Experience in event planning. Strong organizational skills. SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR: In charge of developing and interacting with sponsors, making sure their needs are met and aligned with the Festival. Will help with creation of marketing materials, and to approach sponsors to secure sponsorships. Will keep track of all deals, payments, equipment, schedules and any other interactions or requirements for the deals. Job requirements: Experience working with film festival sponsors or other vendors. Marketing and sales experience a plus. CAPED Student Scholarships

CAPED Student Scholarships CAPED Student Scholarships are awarded to students with disabilities who are pursuing post-secondary education in the state of California. Disabilities include any verified physical, mental, or learning disability that substantially limits one or more major life activities, as defined in the ADA Amendments Act of 2008. Students must be enrolled in an accredited California state university, community college, or private college. Undergraduate students must have completed at least six semester or eight quarter units before applying and must have a grade point average of 2.5 or above. Graduate students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above and have completed at least three semester or four quarter units before applying. A total of 11 students will be awarded scholarships from the California Association For Postsecondary Education and Disability (CAPED). Some scholarships are for disabled students attending four-year colleges only, while others include community college attendance. Each scholarship has its own unique focus which can include a particular disability, such as blindness or visual impairment, or a specific career focus. The California Association For Postsecondary Education and Disability was formed in 1975 as the first member-based, non-profit professional organization of post secondary educators of students with disabilities in the nation. The organization works with public and private higher education institutions to finance education programs and services for students with disabilities.
