Service for Peace MLK Day Grants Deadline: July 31 Service for Peace will award grants ranging from $1,000 to $20,000 to their chapters and to out-of-network partners, to support MLK Day of Service 2014 and 40 Days of Peace projects. Grantees will need to: Mobilize large numbers of diverse volunteers in meaningful service activities on the MLK Day weekend; grow the 40 Days of Peace to existing and new networks as a way of creating sustainable change one act at a time; engage veterans, military families, students and disadvantaged youth as participants and recipients of service; and involve significant community partners for sustainability. http://bit.ly/17GXtxl
