Social Media Manager

Ripple Entertainment is a digital media company focused on building owned and operated video networks. The company develops, produces and owns original video content, licenses video content and acquires video content to program its owned and operated properties. All properties are distributed via social media platforms with a primary focus on YouTube and Facebook; but, also producing for Vine, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter.
Ripple Entertainment is a partner of Red Arrow (a subsidiary of Prosiebensat1).
This relationship affords Ripple upstream distribution opportunities through broadcast television and multiple territories around the world. Established in October 2015, Ripple is a forward thinking company positioning itself to capitalize on the continued expansion of digital video.
Job Description
The Social Media Marketing Manager will develop and implement strategy across digital and social media to impact the entire viewer journey, from awareness, to acquisition to loyalty to advocacy. The Social Media Marketing Manager is a strategic thinker, who understands both short and long term business consequences of all decisions and is able and willing to execute rapidly. She/He understands that social is more than posting and there is science behind everything they do. She/He has proven experience setting up structured marketing tests and analyzing results for actionable insights. She/He has proven success in driving substantial results, ideally in viewer engagement and acquisition. She/He can immediately step into a role as an internal thought leader and catalyst to help drive a rapidly growing team and business.
Responsibilities
● Source and create content for all platforms, including photos, short videos, editorial and graphics
● Create and manage a release strategy to publish content to each platform on a consistent basis
● Manage relationships with media partners across platforms
● Create brand specific messaging
● Develop new opportunities with emerging platforms to support the social media strategy
Candidate Skills & Traits
● Exceptional organizational behavior
● Strong people skills with the ability to relate to a variety of personalities
● Passion for all things media
● Hands-on or expert knowledge of all social platforms (FB, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Vine and that other platform that sent out only 100 invites for the closed beta)
● Intense curiosity (ie you’re always thinking about how things can be better and how to create the next big thing)
● Self-starter with the confidence to act in smart, effective ways
● Willingness to work long hours and weekends
● Strong problem-solving abilities
● Basic knowledge of production and editing a plus
● Proficient in PowerPoint/Keynote and Excel
● Strong communication skills with ability to present to senior executives
● Design (ie Photoshop) and editing skills a plus
● 3+ years experience creating digital media content
● 2+ years distributing and promoting content across social media
● Familiarity with digital business models
