David Geffen Medical Scholarships

David Geffen Medical Scholarships offers full tuition scholarships to medical students entering the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The scholarship pays for 100 percent for tuition, room and board, books and supplies, plus a living stipend. This is a merit-based scholarship for outstanding students pursuing careers in the medical field. Students both within the U.S. and international may apply. All students entering the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA are automatically considered for the scholarship. A total of up to 33 scholarships will be awarded. The scholarships will continue through four years of college as long as the student remains in good standing. The scholarship is funded by David Geffen, a record and film producer who, with Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg, created DreamWorks. He is also a philanthropist after whom the medical school was named. Mr. Geffen created the scholarship to help students pursue their dreams of going to medical school. The scholarship is open to academically strong students pursuing careers in clinical practice, teaching, research and public service. The scholarship not only provides them financial assistance to attend medical school but gives them the freedom to pursue their careers without a large economic burden. The deadline for this scholarship VARIES each year, and the award amount VARIES. For more details, visit geffenscholarship.medschool.ucla.edu/
