The Christophers Annual Video Contest for College Students
The Christophers Annual Video Contest for College Students is open to current college students enrolled as undergraduates or graduate students at colleges and universities across the country.
The video contest consists of students creating and submitting a short film of five minutes or less. The film must depict the highest values of the human spirit. The story should be about people who have made a powerful impact on the lives of others. Winners include a first prize, second prize and third prize winner along with 5 honorable mentions. Each winner receives a cash prize.
Examples of past winning videos include stories of people who have created extraordinary programs that help troubled youth or foster children. The theme of the video contest should depict how people have used their gifts and talents to make the world a better place for others. All videos must be submitted as DVDs and uploaded to the entry site.
The scholarship is offered by The Christophers, a non-profit organization based in New York. The non-profit was formed in 1945 and has been awarding video scholarships since 1988.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in DECEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,000.
