Goedeker's Appliances Annual College Book Scholarship is open to any student that is enrolled in an accredited college. High school students, transfer students, non-traditional students, students studying abroad or taking classes online, are all eligible.
Students may major in any field of study. A GPA of 3.0 or above is required. The scholarship is intended to cover the cost of books. A total of 3 scholarships will be awarded.
To apply, students must complete an online essay of at least 300 words that explains why college is important to the student and their reason for choosing their particular field of study. They should also include information about themselves and a photo. All entries are judged according to originality, creativity, thought organization, and proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Goedeker's is a family-oriented company that sells name brand kitchen appliances, washers and dryers, mattresses, and other home furnishings, both online and at their showroom They were founded in St. Louis in 1951.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JULY of each year, and the award amount is usually $500.
