Edward S. Roth Manufacturing Engineering Scholarship
Edward S. Roth Manufacturing Engineering Scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors or current full-time graduate or undergraduate students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in manufacturing engineering. Eligible students must plan or be attending an ABET accredited school.
ABET is a non-profit organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation that serves as an accrediting agency for academic programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. Students applying for the scholarship must plan to attend one of 13 colleges participating in this program and also have a grade point average of 3.0 or above.

The scholarship money can be used for college tuition, fees and books. Applications from students who have financial need as well as minority students
and students in a co-op program will receive priority. The scholarship is renewable; students must re-apply for the scholarship each year after the initial award.
The scholarship is sponsored by the SME Education Foundation, a non-profit organization that encourages students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. The organization has helped more than 15,000 deserving students complete their education and pursue their career goals.
The deadline for this scholarship is usually in FEBRUARY of each year, and the award amount VARIES.

Criteria
A. All applicants must be graduating high school seniors or current full-time graduate or undergraduate students seeking a bachelor's or master's degree in manufacturing engineering from the list of ABET accredited schools below:
California Polytechnic State University, CA
California State Polytechnic University, CA
University of Miami, FL
Bradley University, IL
Central State University, OH
Miami University, OH
Boston University, MA
Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA
University of Massachusetts, MA
St. Cloud State University, MN
The University of Texas - Pan American, TX
Brigham Young University, UT
Utah State University, UT
B. All applicants must have/and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
C. Preferences will be given to students demonstrating financial need, minority students and students participating in a Co-Op program.
D. The scholarship can be used only as a credit toward books, fees, or tuition.
E. Student must be a U.S. citizen.
